eventually replace it completely and ppracer will become just a dummy
transition package, so if one of the binary package should be removed,
it should be the one from ppracer, not etracer imho.

I can confirm that all these packages can be installed alongside the unstripped
ffmpeg libs without any problem, they also all run fine, but I can't say for

Alright, I found where the problem come from, "dpkg --status-fd" wrongly
interprets "Processing triggers for libc6 ..." :
LANG=C sudo dpkg --status-fd 1 -r kdelibs5
status: kdelibs5: installed
(Reading database ... 158344 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing kdelibs5 ...
processing
I played a bit with adept and ended up with this patch, it should fix
the adept manager issue; I'll try to make another one to fix the adept
installer issue later.

The crash only appears with ati driver >= 6.7.19*, but there was no
randr 1.2 support in the earlier versions. I'll try to do a clean
install to see if the problem appears here as well.

Same problem while trying 'kdesu "adept_manager --dist-upgrade-devel"' (I was
already using Gutsy).
I have 512 MB of ram, when the upgrader started to download packages, the
system became very slow and all the ram and 500 MB of swap were used.
