Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
The update of the gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu Intrepid (2.24.0) causes
extreme readings on my laptop. Previous version 2.23.93 had no problem.
Gnome power manager reports my battery voltage starting from 49 v to 450
v on a full batt

This problem also causes a estimated battery life of over more than 10
to 40 hours. I used it on my laptop and suspend/hibernate is not working
and the battery meter is always showing an icon that there is still
enough charge left. But suddenly the laptop will turn off because the
battery is drawn.
Today I did a complete reinstall of Intrepid Alpha 6 and updated to the
latest versions of everything. After updating the problem is back,
before updating the gnome-power-manager is working perfectly. No changes
of any kind was made, clean install.
