I've the same system and the sound card. I've installed Ubuntu 16.04.
I am able to get audio from speakers and headphones but not when I insert a
HDMI cable connected to my TV. The Video output is perfectly fine though. I'm

I am not using crossfading in rythmbox. The noise comes both when
crossfading is enabled or disabled.
I get the noise in totem also.
I dont get the noise in VLC though.

In Ubuntu 19.10 when I runs dosbox 0.74, left hand side items of unity
favourites are visible with a faded shadow.
