It was still a problem on Intrepid until we stopped allowing ssh
sessions and switched to OpenVPN.
I still think it was either an OpenSSL or NAT problem.
Feel free to close this if you can't reproduce it.

Not possible.
Sorry.

Yes, 100% reproducible.
AND it was my fault!
Refer to the mangled "banshee.desktop" attachment.
Install this in /usr/share/applications/kde4 and observe that there is
now a Banshee menu item with an Amarok icon. Drag that to your desktop
and wait a moment...
See?
It's a corner-case... But it's
The xorg update this morning seems to have corrected the behavior.
I can't reproduce the problem now. It was 100% reproducible before the
Xorg update (and I had other problems...kwin for example) that seem to
be behaving more politely as well.

It is worth noting that Asus does have Marvell linux drivers (and other
linux drivers for the Deluxe P5B) on their support web.
IMO, that is the best solution at this time.
The driver worked just fine for me on Dapper and Edgy EFT. Yes, I have

there's well over a TB in the box -- that Dapper can see just fine.

Just for the record, Feisty and Gutsy both work fine on an Asus P5B
Deluxe WiFi and an Asus P5B Deluxe Twin-View.
On the WiFi edition board, I'm running Feisty (7.04), a DVD-RW is
hanging off the JMicron PATA port (Master). On the Twin-View edition

Dapper works great.
This is NOT an OpenSSH problem. See below.
I have played with MTU on the NICs and NAT router (1500 on all).
Dapper's ssh works fine no matter what MTU is set on its NIC or the
(same) router.
Here's the -vv from a Gutsy machine:

Those are from Putty's keygen. They're harmless on every OS (Dapper,
Solaris, Suse, HP/UX, AIX, and even VMS) and every version of OpenSSH.
But yes, I have tried without the key
Public bug reported:
I connect, over a shared NAT router, to many different servers with ssh.
This works great on Dapper.
After upgrading to Feisty or Gutsy, previously working ssh session
configs (~/.ssh/config) can no longer connect.
Feisty or Gutsy CAN connect to each other, or to a Dapper sy
Brian,
I'm not convinced this is an OpenSSH bug. I built an older release of
OpenSSH - against the Gutsy OpenSSL and C libraries - and it still
doesn't work (same hang at the same point).
I actually think it's an OpenSSL problem that only shows up in OpenSSH.
But thanks for classifying it.

The client-side is using the default Gutsy /etc/ssh/sshd_config
I can't provide the server config due to company policy.
The Dapper version of openssh, which works on Dapper, does not work on
Gutsy. This tells me that it is either openssl, libc, or the kernel nic
driver. I'm very skeptical of the
Luiz, what causes it though?
Something changed since Dapper. Dapper works fine. Edgy, Feisty, and
Gutsy do not.
