I'm seeing the same thing - no problem with prior versions, but big
issues with the RC following yesterday's updates.
I've got a different laptop, but it's an Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN.

Installing the 2.6.34-999 mainstream kernel seems to fix the issue for
me.

I used the 64-bit kernel - because I'm on the 64-bit Ubuntu build - but
I was premature. After about half an hour of working, the wireless
became unresponsive again.
A 3Com USB wireless dongle connected to the same system works fine.

Happens on my desktop after every Suspend To RAM event. Haven't noticed
any stability problems, however - I can carry on as normal after the
issue occurs.

I'm seeing this issue on a netbook - Acer Aspire One - on 32-bit Karmic
Netbook Remix, but only since an apt-get update last night. Prior to
that it worked fine.
The symptoms are that the lid closure is detected and the suspend script
triggered - at which point, as far as I can tell, it immediate

/var/log (and a couple of others) as tmpfs, but hadn't done that on this
particular install so that logs were intact.
According to /var/log/dpkg.log, the updates were tzdata, libwbclient0,

I'm also having this problem with an HP Pavillion DM3 that I bought
today - I had to create a /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf file with
"options psmouse proto-imps" in order to get edge-scrolling working.
The issue appears to be caused by the touchpad being incorrectly
detected as a PS/2 mouse. When
I've received the same kernel error, but strangely my wireless continued
working fine throughout - and is still running, with no reboot required.
AMD64 build, same kernel version as above.

Confirmed as affecting Ubuntu 12.10 Beta 2. Any and all custom keyboard
shortcuts with an Alt in them fail to survive a reboot.

As an affected user, I can confirm that the newly-created package
python3-defaults in quantal-proposed - installed using sudo apt-get -f
install - fixes the problem.
