Changed my life adding
vm.dirty_background_ratio = 5
vm.dirty_ratio = 10
in /etc/sysctl.conf
and running sysctl -p

k9copy refuses to use a differ
Another temporary solution can be to edit the configuration file directly,
using your favorite editor, edit the file named ~/.kde/share/config/K9Copy,
find the "[dir]" section, and modify the "output=" line with your favorite
location
Solved on Ubuntu (Ubuntu 10.10) by apt-get install pacman... hope it
helps someone...
