I've been using Hardy to access sftp accounts on a server since the
first Hardy Alpha. I had no problems. Today, I am getting poblems, no
recent updates, nothing, so I don't know what's started it. Every time I
try and connect to the remote sftp account using the valid username
'piceco' bookmark it
I understood the reason for the weird refresh rate: nvidia-settings uses
virtual refresh rates which it replaces by its own parameters. It's all
explained in the manual for the linux proprietary nvidia driver. But,
understanding that doesn't resolve the problem this bug describes.

Seriously, when working with a highly customizable system such as linux,
shouldn't we be able to tell any key on any keyboard to do anything we

released in Intrepid. So, go and do and apt-get update and then install
murrine themes.

I am now running Ubuntu 8.04 and I am still experiencing this issue. My ALSA
settings are set the same as they were when I was running Feisty, and I have
disabled PulseAudio as well because of a separate issue.
So, yes, unfortunately this is still a problem for me.

Hi guys. You have not go back to old kernel. Here is the answer.

Shortly:
1. Remove this file /etc/vbox/vbox.cfg
2. Run sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
3. That should be all.
I am now back in normal with Virtual Box and the kernel 2.6.24.17

I think that the easiest way to install fonts is installing it with
Synaptic or with Terminal:
If you use Synaptic, look for the package called msttcorefonts.
If you use terminal, you can install in this way:
* sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts

Hi all!
I was looking when upgrade was running and i saw that when the new
kernel is installed, xserver-xorg was deleted without reason. It
happen with kernel 2.6.26-3. im upgrading now from 2.6.26-4 to 2.6.26-5
and all looks fine.

Im using kernel 2.6.26-4 of Intrepid Alpha 3 and it doesnt requires Root
privileges.
This is not a real bug cause it doesnt make any problem, its only a
change, but must be followed.

The problem is if you change the path of your image (file) the software
that enabled that image as Background Image cannot find it and your
desktop will be empty.
