I upgrade to intrepid and I try, here is the dmesg, wifi led is on but
no wifi is detecting... here is the dmesg,
hp-dmi module is not in Intrepid??

Larry,
I tried to load windows driver with ndiswrapper, the wifi is working but
button don't. I try showkey and I have nothing.
I believe I recall that this button worked with ubuntu 7.10 (don't
remember if it was with ndiswrapper or bcm43xx), I will download the
livecd and test it, if I can give
sorry don't have lot of time :(
I try hp-dmi with 8.10 alpha5, nothing new...
I've just see that alpha6 is out, is it usefull that I try it?
in 7.10 with bcm43xx, button don't work but wifi is working.

hp-dmi is not loading automatically , I need to "modprobe" it

I'm sure hardware is ok, I have a double boot, wifi and button works

rfkill and rfkill_input are not loaded.
if I load them manualy, I can see sometimes the two SSID of my AP, but I can't
connect. the wifi light is about 15/30 secondes on then about 15/30 secondes
off then on, then off, etc...

there is nothing when push button (it is not a 2 states button, it is a
push button, don't if it is important...)
lastest test was made with livecd 8.10 alpha4 .
laptop work with 8.04, kernel is 2.6.24-21-generic.
I think I can build new kernel with patch, if possible on the 8.04...

I can load module with the old kernel 2.6.24-19
The 2.6.24-19 is always installed, so I boot with it and I could load the
module after loading b43, but this not working with 2.6.24-21.
1) I load b43legacy -> error
2) I load b43 -> ok
3) load b43legacy -> ok
4) pushing buton -> nothing
5) sometim
loading module is ok, but always nothing when push the button, I have
one more line in dmesg :
