When I start the installer from a CD made from Edgy iso downloaded at
2006-08-18 08:46:22 UK Local time, the installer crashes with this

lot of ptoblems for me. It is not entirely evident from the text in the

I moved my sound card around, and this improved things. My system is
borked, and I'll have to install a fresh Kubuntu when I get around to
it.
It is such a pain when IRQ's are mapped to PCI slots, and the mainboard
will not work with IRQ sharing.
We will have to wait and see if I still have this
On my nephews Dell Inspirion 510m with ALPS Glidepoint using /dev/psaux
and auto-dev does not work. The pad is overly sensitive to clicking, and
configuring it with ksynaptics does not work well. Using event3 for
device and "event" for protocol improves things, but I keep loosing my

"/etc/X11/Xsession" like this made it all work better:
