Both "gst-launch playbin uri=file:///path/to/file.rmvb" and "ffplay"
play the entire video (I used the same 25min video that bugged at
Totem).
gst-launch play fine, ffplay prints a warning message like "invalid
codec" (asap I get home I update this information), and seems to play in
low FPS

(without pause and rewinds).

I needed to re-install Ubuntu 8.04 on a new drive.
Next I installed F.Fox and T.Bird - all OK
Then I added Lightning to T.Bird.
When I clicked on customise toolbars (Calendar) all icons were added to the

After some testing I can confirm that my nautilus stalling issue is related to
bookmarking NFS/autofs-mounted shares.
After manually removing those bookmarks from ~/.gtk-bookmarks, nautilus starts
up immediately.

Confirmed: This bug just happens in Totem, and happens only when you
play a movie and use rewind function. If you play the movie straight
forward using just pause, the movie plays entirely.
Seems something is messing the internal time counter when you use
rewind.

I have the same problem. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and this alerts
doesn't disappear when I remove my plugins. I tried to debug how you
discriped but I wasn't able to get it crash during the debugger was
running.
Starting firefox as root doesn't work as well.

The problem seems to be NOT firefox itself because I have a separate
firefox installation which works in Breedy without any problems but
causes the same output started in Dapper Drake.

If you are right, the file which causes problems must be installed by Dapper
Drake itself because I am running my Dapper on its own partition where no other
OS was installed before. All I know is: I need a solution at soon as possible!
- I can't user Thunderbird because it crashes EACH time I sta
removing the .gtkrc-2.0* directories didn't help and creating a new
account didn't help either - any further suggestions? :-(

Hi All,
today I have upgraded my Kubuntu client to Utopic,
and now OpenVPN doesen't ask me for my "pkcs12" password
I start it via init.d script as root

I use it as Client and have deactivated autostart

I start it manually, when i need the VPN.

keys on this touchpad. In jaunthy width kernel 2.6.28-11 it works fine.

I am wondering though: The patch Daniele provided in Comment 18 solved
the problem in irda-utils for me, so far everything works flawlessly.
It's been more then 5 weeks since then, why is this fix not released?

well, as I said, I just applied the patch manually (adding the +++-lines and
removing the --- lines from the irda-utils.postinst)

The irda-utils package does not install at the moment at all
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/irda-utils/+bug/340718).
There is a patch in the comments that seems to "fix" this (even if it
doesn't, I don't know about these things), or at least gets the package
installed again and working.

There is the command "patch", you'll find a short tutorial on it on

as far as I know plugins can only be disabled not uninstalled. It's a
bit different to extensions. (as plugins are installed as root?!)
