There is a double menu entri in GNOME Terminal 3.14 appmenu, in fact there is a
Terminal entry and a file entry. And there isn't the option for opening a new
terminal tab, I think the gnome terminal menu should be properly patched.
I've attached a screenshot of what I'm mean

I can confirm that with the kernel of comment 44 the touchpad and the
touchscreen of my dell xps 13 9333 developer edition works well on
Ubuntu 14.04.
No problem on resume or suspend even with iRST and multitouch work well.
