removed the bash_completion line from my ~/.bashrc
It turns out that the bash_completion script was sourced twice: once in
/etc/bash.bashrc and once in ~/.bashrc

There have been a few fixes related to the skipping/postponing of breaks
in the latest version of workrave (1.8.5).
I've got a backport of the latest version of the workrave package from
Debian (1.8.5-6) in my personal package archive:

It works fine for me both on Ubuntu Gutsy (workrave 1.8.5-6~ppa2) and

I have finally been able to reproduce this problem on a 2-screen
desktop, after turning off Xinerama.
I have backported the latest upstream version (1.9.1) and the problem is
gone for me. Can anybody else confirm this?

Yes, Michael is right, you need to disable the applet.
(This is actually how it's intended to work. The applet brings either a
second icon or a bunch of timers depending on your settings.)

While I'm looking forward to being rid of the duplicate icon, I'm not
very keen on packaging an unreleased version, which could introduce
bigger bugs.
A while back, I looked at the svn commit which fixed this problem but it

I just uploaded safe-rm 1.0.0 to Debian unstable. It was rewritten in
Rust, which means that the interpreter dependency and possible race
condition have been eliminated.
So if you end up adding a conflict on the safe-rm package, please make
it < 1.0.0.
