Upgrade to new LTS was offered via the GUI component Software Updater.
After accepting it, it failed...

The bug definitively affects every maximized window.
How to reproduce the behaviour:
1) Create more workspaces (or in my case "viewports" in CCSM), e.g. in one row.
2) Switch to 2nd workspace/viewport.
3) Open any application (e. g. thunderbird, gnome-terminal, LibreOffice Write).
4) Maximize the w
The behaviour is also affected by the "Place windows" ability of Compiz.
If you turn this feature off (by CCSM), the problem doesn't occur, but all new
windows are placed at 0,0 coordinates (I'm not using any other WM, besides
Compiz).

I can confirm, that this bug is still present on LTS version 14.04.3 with all.
Can someone please use the fix from Saucy for Trusty?
