I really would like to have the old behavior back. I used the feature on
a daily basis. Never experiences any issues with edges! Swiping at the
center of the screen allowed for browsing through a list.
A usual use case was: search for an appropriate app:
search term e.g. "Recorder" in software cen

I used my (up to date) BQ phone for playing music and videos (using apps and
the browser). One day ago i turned the silent mode on for a short period of
time afterwords I switched back to normal mode.
What works:
the silent mode gets turned on and off.

And indeed, my son seems to have switched the sound to off in pathwind
in-between. However switching it on solves the problem only within
pathwind. The music app and the browser still don't play a sound. Not
even after rebooting the system.

Hello with the recent BQ Phone update (r21) - I have the once solved
problem again. No usb connection is shown. Both systems (phone) and
Laptop (ubuntu 14.04) are up to date.
