contains X resources specific to the invoking user's environment.

settings are loaded with xrdb -merge. Note that $HOME/.Xdefaults

and are not recommended at this point.
Not to mention that chromium doesn't support system-wide extension locations

BTW, it's not a copy of ffmpeg per say, our sy

The fix is only in trunk and in the dev channel (both M6). Hence, it's not
fixed in the beta and stable channels (both M5)
I guess i can try to backport the fix in maverick, but i'm not sure it
will qualify for a SRU in lucid-updates
it will ship with whatever milestone the upstream stable channel points
to at that time.

Can you try the trick described by Zdeněk Janák:
"I had the same problem on ATI Radeon 9200 PRO. Disable Option
EnablePageFlip in Device Section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf fix it. It should
looks like this
Section "Device"
Identifier "Device0"
Driver "radeon"
Option "EnablePage
Just a precision (may not be obvious to everyone): "xserver-xorg-input-
vmmouse" has to be uninstalled on the virtualized system, not in the
hosting system. Which is not very convenient when running a live CD,
because the user has to install it, then restart the X server (each time
he runs the live
