Harald, I do believe that this issue is with the packaging and *not*
with the upstream program. The "marble-qt" package, which is a variant
of the "marble" package built without KDE dependencies, does not create
a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications.

other parties and requesting that the full source to the driver be
released, help with such development at all?

Graeme, how long will your connection last before you get a disconnect?
I may have the same bug; I'm getting anywhere from 30~90 minutes before
losing connection. I will try the 3.12 kernel as well.

Expected behavior: Lengthy operations such as large imports and exports
should get a progress bar on the Unity launcher tile, mirroring the
progress bar within the program's GUI
Actual behavior: No progress bar appears on the launcher tile for any
operation
Recommended fix:
Confirmed, fixed it for me as well.

I see that this is fixed with Evolution 3.x in Oneiric, but the fix is
unlikely to make it to Natty. Is there any way to get evolution-mapi

Natty has 0.32.2-1, I believe. The package info says it went into Natty
in March. A minor update, 0.32.2-2, was released in May, and I think it
was to fix this issue. The author said it was the same fix that went
into the 3.x branch, which I personally found to work.
