Never mind, I'm on crack: I had somehow got it into my head that the
obfuscating code created realistic looking secrets, which it does not.
Instead I was looking at a version which did not have this fixed yet,
and hence included actual keys in the replication log.

UbuntuOne Client Disconnects Sho
Confirmed this is still an issue:
I removed my machine through the web, then clicked 'connect' in
nautilus. I get no feedback, (other than the button not changing to
'disconnect') and strangely, the oauth-login.log shows no errors, but
the syncdaemon log (attached) shows authentication errors.
