Forgot to add... this freeze also occurs when the system is switched from AC to battery power, as well as when it is booted on battery. My wild guess is that this is related to automatic change to the brightness settings. Basically the system is not usable on battery power. -- You received this b

I removed the nvidia drivers coming with the distro, and installed the latest 64bit drivers from the Nvidia website (270.41.06) just in case. Problem still persists. I then removed those drivers, and installed the nouveau driver via apt. Problem still persists. Sumary: This problem does not seem
