If you cancel the password dialog in jockey-gtk, it gives you another

Oh, I forgot to say: try the workaround in the first post of that bug.
It's running vlc with LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 , but you also have to
delete a config file first, once you've hit the bug. Try the brief

LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 calibre
does the problem go away? In that case, this looks like a form of bug
