save a new list of Startup applications. If you remove the tick, you
don't remove the list of startup applications. For example, if you don't
want any application every time you log in, what you have to do is to
log out, restart

messaging menu is installed it also uses this menu. I think this bug is

In Pidgin 2.7.9 I have a similar problem: if the "Default-with-Skype"
emoticon theme is selected, only some emoticons appear as a rectangle
containing a cross. I think this issue has been partially fixed. I
attach a snapshot.
