I know of is to take the mouse out and plug it back in. This fixes the
keyboard for some reason. I only have this problem on an AMD processor.

I also have the slow editing problem with my integrated intel graphics
driver. Running Kile with "kile -graphicssystem raster" fixed the
problem for me. I also noticed that turning off dynamic word wrap
improved the problem. It's almost like the shifting of the lines in
dynamic word wrap is extr

CTL+ALT+F1 switches to another virtual terminal. When I attempt to
return to the virtual terminal running the X server (normally
CTL+ALT+F7), the graphics crash in the same way as attempting to log
back in after doing a "switch user."

I am having a very similar problem, only my screen does not go black.
Instead, my screen freezes the exact image that was up when the crash
occurs. The problem is recreated in the exact same way as described by
others, plugging in a VGA cable and attempting to activate the external
screen.

I'm having a similar problem, only I have no USB mounted. Every time I
turn on my computer, nautilus crashes and I get no icons on the desktop,
nor can I browse my files with nautilus. When I do a "dmesg" I find
these kinds of errors:

I tried both a Guest account and another user account on my same
machine. In both cases, the search function returned nothing when I
searched for a particular folder, even though I verified that the
folders I searched for did in fact exist within that user's home
directory. I even searched for the

only worked if I manually created a bookmark in Nautilus. The search
returned results quickly, so I did not experience the problem of lag on
the other user accoun

accounts on the same machine.

folders, I watch my CPU usage and zeitgeist-daemon goes up significantly
until the folder is found.

I may have found a solution. I went into my ~/.local/share/zeitgeist
folder and deleted all contents. I then ran "zeitgeist-daemon --replace"
in a terminal to restart it, and things now work much faster when
searching for those folders.
