Kyle, got it, I'll keep an eye out for changes. If there is anything
else I can do just let me know. As a barely technical non-developer I
would suggest there is a more graceful way than what was presented in
this instance, if there were a way of trapping a particular class of
errors and giving so
I completely removed my google account and it still didn't help. Is
there any way to set this service to not start at all? At this point
the only thing I have found to even make my laptop usable is 'killall
unity-panel-service'

On a fresh boot I am experiencing the same problems with regard to ALT-
TAB, no indicator to show running applications, clicking on icon of a
single window running program doesn't minimize, and when a program is
minimized there is no way to bring it back because clicking on the icon
starts a new in
I had the exact same problem with a much less complex password that was
comprised of 8 mixed case characters followed by and underscore which
was followed by 4 numbers
Cccc_ (just the format, not the password)
Copying and pasting worked great and it connected first try.

As a basic but everyday user I am totally committed to Unity, have been
since 11.04, and find it growing on me. I use global menu's but still
don't like them for non-maximized apps. I will never understand why it
is better to have the menu disappear until you mouse over. I'll keep
using it, but am
Santiago's fix (#80) made skype work for me but broke gmail voice
functions and Audacity (for me). As they are more important to me than
Skype I tried Tuomo's (#87) and it worked not only with the test, but
with an actual call. I guess starting the camera before the call made it
work.
