pinging for review - this won't affect the mac, and it makes send in
background a lot safer to turn on with the other platforms.

No, TB 10 is out - we don't patch previous rapid release versions of
Thunderbird when newer releases supersede them, except for the ESR
releases.

There's no limit to the offline file store cache, so if the message is
in the offline file store, saving attachments should just use the
offline file store.
You can tell if the message is in the offline store by going offline
(file menu, offline, work offline) and then clicking on the message. If

This fixes the easiest to reproduce issue, which is having only a
compose window open and doing a send. I know you're not crazy about
leaving the compose window open, but it's a safe simple fix for thing
