Binary package hint: compiz
I did a fresh install on a eeepc and upgrade didn't work. I ran the
upgrade on the terminal to get more information, here it is :

Now with the new gvfs we can see the share with firefox, browse them
open file from them but we cannot save to the remote directory. However
with thunderbird it is possible to browse, open and save file to a
remote share (I tried sftp and Samba/windows shares)
A work around would be most welcome
While this person receive no visual notification of updates, there was
365 in the terminal. Then he checks in the update manager he saw those
365 updates.

Went at the office today and we're using static network, did connect at
boot time with no problem. So it comes from dhcp

I also had this terminal problem
I guess there's more to it after this update i can't use the shift key
and the scroll side of the my trackpad does not work anymore and i can
tap click also my french canadian keyboard revert back to US english. if
stop compiz, then I can use shift again.

I have an Acer aspire 5572, running a fresh install of Gutsy tribe 5
with all the latest updates (as today)
I have a intel card and the test button is clickable. And when I try to
test, X restart and my external monitor (samsung syncmaster 753dfx)
becomes primary monitor and

The VNI input and the telex input can be installed with the scim-m17n
package. But I second this as 99% of mainland vietnamese would expect a
straight US keyboard out of the box

That is definitively not a wishlist. Vietnamese who install ubuntu will
not be able to login after install. Using VIQR input method at login
screen or any input method other than the standard US keyboard is a no
go
As for the package, it is related to the input method use in GDM,

I also do have the same issue with the same error message in dmesg. I
have an Acer Aspire 5572 with the 2.6.15-27-686 kernel
So far the only problem I have with this laptop is the sound where I
cannot control volume through gnome but through each application
(annoying but not a problem) and speake
