[Bug 113166] Re: OpenOffice loses focus when editing embedded object or changing zoom

2008-07-27 Thread David Pugal
Yes, the problem still exists. For instance, when bullets/numbering tool bar is in floating mode, then switching Bullets On causes the OpenOffice window to disappear. However, the solution I've found is to make the tool-bar non-floating. BTW, the problem only seems to exist when the Visual Effect

I think it is related. I get the similar output for my T61 and all the symptoms are the same. I tried with different xorg.conf files (let the nvidia-settings to generate one and with my backup files and nothing.) -- [G86GL] Latest NVIDIA drivers: X hangs with blank screen after logout. https://bu

I started to use the thunderbird today (Ubuntu 8.10) and I occasionally get the same error. However, my .fonts folder contains only one almost empty file fonts.dir, so this is probably not the cause of the problem. However, when I start with --sync options, I get the same error (sometimes again), b

Interesting, Patrick, I always execute the following command when I log in: gksudo -u root "bash -c 'echo disable > /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth'" So it should stop the BT as well. However, after 2 days of uptime, the symptoms appeared again - lots of junk is being written into kern.log P.S I use t

I can confirm as well, that enabling bluetooth and btusb modules in my T61 does not help to prevent the hangups and sudden log writing activity. So I installed the patch Tom provided and I'll keep posted about any irregular HD/CPU activity. -- kernel 2.6.27-7-generic bug BUG: scheduling while at

So far the suspend has worked. I also have the modified acpi-support file and from my previous configuration I have lenovo.fdi files still existing (as described in http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_Ubuntu_8.04_(Hardy_Heron)_on_a_ThinkPad_T61#Suspend_with_Nv140m), though, I'm not sure if thi

I do have the same problem. Navigating in tables, using bulleted lists and etc. causes OOo Writer to lose the focus and the application window goes background. It is really annoying while working with documents. I have the latest Hardy and the OOo is: ii openoffice.org1:2.4.

Thank you for the patch, Marco. I should say it helped a bit - some connections appear to be more stable and now I have to use less `rmmod iwl4965; killall -9 NetworkManager; /etc/dbus-1/event.d/25NetworkManager restart; modprobe iwl4965` cycles, which is good. Though WPA still seems to be less
