- progress goes from 0 to 100% (Creating checksum...)
- then it moves left right
- then it goes from 0 to 100% again (Writing track 01)
- then it moves left

I have 3 optical units:
- DVD-RW : has the boot medium
- two CD-ROM units - empty
I inserted an iso9660 CD into one empty unit.
It was not mounted.
Neither if inserted into other unit.

After start, gnomeradio puts up a dialog: Could not open "/dev/mixer"!
And then that is can not open /dev/radio (no wonder, that name is not used by
kernel for ages...)
After I change the radio device to /dev/radio0 gnomeradio starts, and
After the crash remote ssh session also freeze.
The host is still responding to pings, but new ssh connections are not
accepted (no response).

Was that the timeout trigger?
I agree that it is "less intuitive".
Last time I tried unclutter, the trigger by keystroke did not work. That
way is more intuitive and already used by some code (parts). Like the
gnome terminal, and some (GTK+) text fields, IIRC.

smartctl shows SMART data
After many minutes, disk utility suddenly detects SMART capabilities.

Why is the mouse pointer so important while you type text?
Besides, it will appear the moment you touch the mouse.
Additional ideas, for v2.0 ;)
- use a fade-in , fade-out effect instead of instant (dis/re)appearance
- related to above comment: do not make pointer disappear completely, but fade
