I just did some file browsing with the latest Feisty beta, using the keyboard.
Then, I had to reach for the mouse to move the pointer out of the way, becasue
it was covering the name of the file...
Besides, this is not GNOME specific. Not all apps are GNOME/GTK+.

I inserted an U3 Sandisk Cruzer Titanium USB flash drive (U3 doft removed from

HW : radeon 9500
First it booted with the radeon driver. Then I changed the resolution
from 1280x1024 to 800x600.
Then I changed xorg.conf to use the vesa driver.
I restarted X and :
- login screen appear
I tried http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20070405/feisty-desktop-i386.iso
and it uses the radeon driver.

- it didn't try to make me blind with screen flickering (it used a 70 Hz

I see discover2 differences between viedo outpu devices (gfx cards), that is
calls "display" and video in devices, called "video".
discover1 mixes them all into "video".
Even then, xserver-xorg.postinst.in should be fixed. Why assume the first entry
in the list is correct ? The list has no rule

That repository has no "dapper" directory. I can not install the -dbgsym
packages !
(I need gnome-system-tools-dbgsym , right ?)
Note that the bug can be easily reprodiced, even in vmware.

Confirming.
After burning an iso image, there is no Verify option.
If you are referring to the check option that can be run separatelly, it
just reports, that is has no md5 data for this dic (or similar, I'm not
behind Ubuntu right now).

This bug is about "use existing account".
But it is a bit confusing as "create new" might be understood as "create
new account in Empathy (but use pre-existing MSN account)".

It takes about 4 seconds for the Help window to appear, the additional 13
seconds during which the CPU is 100% loaded, for th actual help text to appear.
(this is with the screenshot help, as in the original report)
