I can confirm issue, somewhat. Mine is with making Data DVD's on Kubuntu 8.04
They play back on other Kubuntu 8.04 systems, but no Windows and not other
distro's.
I have 1.1.6 wodim and genisoimage.
Tried burning exact same data DVD's with Mandriva 2008.1 that have wodim
1.1.7 and genisoimage 1.
There are a number of logs, so I have compressed them all and attached
that archive.
I think this OS was installed at 7.10, so its had atleast 2 dist-
upgrades. Doing pretty well considering.

This is still a bug in Kubuntu Hardy.
I fixed it by making a new file type [.docx] in File Types settings in
KDE System Settings and then associating it with OpenOffice [2.4]
Can this association not be added to the base Kubuntu system for Ibex ?
Seems a simple fix.

checkinstall and burning is working, although I got an error while
burning, the DVD was fine, readable in Kubuntu and Windows XP.

Same here. Didnt happen to me until this morning. But I think this is
the first time I had updates and click on the System Tray Adept
notifier.
In fact, the updates were a bunch of Adept ones (ie 2.1.3ubunt

The system is still going and has the sames disks in it it had then, I
believe.

Yes it was definitely not mounted. I checked /proc/mounts (grep sda1
/proc/mounts), the mount -l command itself and also issued several
umount /dev/sda1 to be sure. (I do have 10 years of Linux experience.)
The output from e2fsck /dev/sda1 was the same as others

Had a look and yes. I am ticking multiple shows to encode.
I am now resorting to using MythFrontend and setting each show up one at a
time. A very slow process if you have 20 shows to do, but it works.
