@scnaifeh: the ssc-script.so failure was present also in intrepid. I
don't really know what that affects. the ssc-ffmpeg plugin works though.
with jaunty, the ssc-ffmpeg fails to load giving the
avcodec_decode_audio as an undefined symbol. doing a bit of googling
indicates that that call was being

worked however the same type of upgrade on a dell latitude laptop that
has been more extensively modified and used failed with multiple

I've never used vitualbox before so after the upgrade to hardy release
and vmware-server broke yet again I gave it a try. Unfortunately I can
confirm the problem with the kernel module version not tracking the
current kernel. I installed from the standard repo and it went well

I just hit a crash with what appears to be the same config. (x86_64
amd64 3200+) with feisty 7.04 current as of 2007/05/18. The web site
that triggered the crash was www.cnn.com. There is no crash dump in
