I will second seeing this behavior. I have a friend who has a Toshiba
laptop and a Sierra Wireless 881 USB network adapter. Last year I set
him up with 7.10, using KPPP and the settings recommended from a Sierra
Wireless guide on their site. Worked like a champ. Looking to upgrade
him to 8.10 and s
I did see some posts where the new KPPP was not playing very nice. The only
work around was to use 3.5 instead of 4. Hopefully it is something simple to
fix in NM. I have used a CDMA card with the new NM and it is awesome so I
had very high hopes for the GSM setup.

I note that the Fedora version does not segment the atlas into lapack
and blas libraries and the pkg-config works just fine. This is not an
ATLAS problem but a package bug.
