I can reproduce it when booting from a Hardy live CD, too (which is not
surprising).
/etc/X11/xorg.conf is the same (except few differences in the InputDevice

I had the same problem and solved:
- install the 5.10 Ubuntu;
- change the apt sources;
- do a dist-upgrade with the 6.06 CD-ROM or by Internet;
- to solve problems with X, change again the apt sources to do an upgrade.
So it is working fine, but I had a lot of work to do it.

Unfortunately, I switched to the i386 architecture and am no longer able

O think that everbody know, its not easy to install anjuta1.2.4 on Edgy.
So I resolve it. I edit some Dapper packages, and create a new package named
anjuta1.2.4, and with 3 easy steps you can install anjuta 1.2.4 on Ubuntu Edgy.

On 2 my computers where I've Ubuntu Hardy Heron installed I can to see
