I have the same laptop with Ubuntu 20.04.2 and same problem with the
Bluetooth adapter. After reading this thread, I made a win10 USB boot
drive, shortly after booting it the Bluetooth adapter was detected and i
paired it with my phone. I got the below info from powershell.

YAH Gérald- Yet Another Hooray for Gérald - the patch fixed the problem.
As was pointed out, -proposed is for testing and those of us who use it
realize we may find some issues. The good part is to see how fast the
problem can be fixed.

I also have this problem (on x64 version).
If I do pulseaudio -k then the indicator volume slider has no effect on
sources connected via module-loopback (like my digital tv card) even tho
pulseaudio automatically restarts. The sound preferences dialog volume
slider continues to work and do the rig
BTW, I am running version 0.4.9-0ubuntu1

Yes, the problem is fixed for me with the test1_amd64 version.
Installing the test version and restarting made it do the expected thing
- i.e. work.
