I personally have never been able to reproduce this problem.
Can anyone of you search for a file called "http_cache_cleaner.desktop"
on your system and make sure if it has an entry called "X-KDE-
StartupNotify = false"? If it does, can you then change that to say
"StartupNotify = false" and see if

I will reiterate what David stated already. Each of the kioslaves are
their own independent modules maintained by different people. So if
there is a problem in any of them it would have to be fixed in that
protocol's ioslave itself.

Actually, it's not that,
No matter what I do, I can't turn it back on, right click> enable
wireless/enable networking, nothing works!
I've tried everything even rebooting! But it only works after rebooting twice!
On the first try, it says USB device not recognized, (I use a wireless
ok. I will try it. This will be awesome if it works. I did try it in
the regular Dapper and the geometry was completely wrong. Also, you
couldn't control any of the parameters like dpi, color, etc.

Hi, the Microsoft last desktop 5000 keyboard has some really great keys
on it. Some keys work perfectly with doing anything like the email and
the calculator buttons. But Zoom In and Out, Documents, Photos, Media
Player, VOIP, Gadgets, and lock scr
The keyboard works during BIOS startup so I can press Delete and ESC for
Boot Order and BIOS setup. When it goes into Grub, it stops working and
then when it goes to the GDM screen it works again. So it is definitely
something to do with the driver loading when grub starts.
It doesnt work with a
ok, I tried another USB port, its the same thing. What kind of problem
with the BIOS? If you give me an idea about what to look for in the
bios setup, i can check it. It works pretty good in Gutsy after boot,
just not in GRUB. If it was a BIOS problem wouldn't it not work at all?

Crashed specifically when it was opening an alert panel to kick me in
the teeth for not having IE. I have the agent switcher installed, but
did not have it set to IE at the time.

removing the prerm file worked on my netbook!
in the root terminal: rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/adobe-flashplugin.prerm
then, update flashplugin and restart.
