Is the fix supposed to handle *every* PTP camera? I got the same problem
with my Canon EOS 400D, which isn't known yet in gphoto2.
The line

My girlfriend's laptop with ipw3945 can connect to unprotected networks
and WPA2 networks, but not to a WEP network (doesn't even get a
connection). These are all different WLAN routers though. Gutsy, updated

I was doing an installation from a Ubuntu Gutsy Alpha 5 CD by booting up the
Live CD and choosing the Install icon.

I decided to try anyway. I accidentally first still used the old
2.6.22-6-generic package, and
saw hangs. Using 2.6.22-8-386 worked, so I assume it really is a fixed package.

It seems that *this* problem is not there anymore, at least it now tries
to burn the CD.
However, it now complains that it cannot lock the drive. I guess that
should be a different bugreport, but FWIW, here is what it prints on the
console:

If anyone is reading along, here is what I did so far (the test is printing a
big JPEG image):
I updated the firmware to 1.1.28 (by using Windows), to no avail.
I checked and tried the PPD file meant for Windows XP, no big difference to the
Linux version.
I also fixed the errors in the PPD file,

When I try to print from gthumb, the job looks like going out, but
nothing happens (well, the printer says "Working..." for a while, the
goes to "Ready").

I found that I can print smaller images (scaled down from a photo taken
by a 10 MPixel camera to 800x600) with gthumb. So maybe it's a "doesn't
print big jobs" bug. Maybe even the one in bug 44989.

This problem seems to have been fixed in the meantime, the Garmin is now
automounted when in USB Mass Storage mode. I didn't notice it right away
because it takes quite some time until that happens, but it happens
eventually. Thanks guys.
