Hi Alex,
I can add a lot of more complex code to hunt down and evaluate the _CST
objects to figure out if any C states are defined on a system. However,
the modern kernel idle handler for Intel CPUs tries to identify the CPU
and decide the given C states so effectively ignores information anyway.
For now, I will remove these warnings from the acpitables test and on a
later spin add in more complex C state checks in the cstate test where
it belongs.

I've address this issue in several ways:
1. Some tests didn't report any pass/fail since they were just
collecting data - this is useful to allow one to identify a machine or
sanity check the firmware. In this case, these tests returned a

@Martin, I believe this is in maverick-proposed rather than lucid. Will
test tomorrow.

Tested: Without the -proposed kernel, machine oopses after 12 S4

able to run 75 S4 cycles without any oopsing.
Tested with i386 kernel.

Ubuntu-2.6.35-25, Maverick.
After repeated S4 cycles, a memcpy() Oops occurs in suspend_nvs_save.
This error occurs because the ioremap of the NVS region fails, returning
NULL and the subsequent memcpy() tries to copy to a NULL pointer, hence
the oops.
We are running out of
Note: Without this patch, one particular laptop is failing after 12 S4
iterations. With the patch we don't get the memcpy() oops anymore.
I've also soak tested this patch on another machine with 250 S4 cycles.
I also threw in 250 S3 cycles to make sure we don't get any regressions.

@Alexandre, can you attach the original (unaltered) DSDT. In fact, I'd
appreciate it if you send me the entire output from:
sudo acpidump
..then I can build a custom BIOS and see why the kernel breaks in an
emulator.
Thanks!

Impact: Dell All-In-One driver was using an old workaround to load the
module based on a Dell module alias. Since the wmi sysfs interface now
supports WMI GUID module aliases we should be using this instead.

Two of the shared libraries are two builds of the same ACPICA core with
different build modes. They have a fwts specific shim to allow allow the
