I have also the problem on my MSi Wind U100.
I installed ubuntu, bluetooth was working.
Then I installed kubuntu-desktop with synaptic.
I dont know if bluetooth was working in this configuration.
Then I removed all KDE packages (that I could find).
Now my bluetooth isn't working.
Fn + F11 onl
After a fresh installation of Ubuntu Intrepid,
bluetooth is working on my MSI Wind U 100.

After upgrading from jaunty to karmic ubuntu needs nearly 10 minutes to boot.
I could see in dmesg that the last modules loaded before the delay where
ohci1394 and ieee1394, so I blacklisted these modules wit
I have the same problem, that karmic needs 10 minutes to boot.
But I have an fresh karmic installation with an swap partition.
I just deactivated the swap partition but the boot took again 10 minutes.

I had some problems with the "splash" option #491045.
So I removed "splash" from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT.
After that I noticed that an regular update removed "quiet splash" from
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT.
I just could not find the specific update.
Maybe that helps.

I tried with a CD with the ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso image, doesn't work.
After that I build a bootable USB Stick with unetbootin and the image above and
got the same error.

After upgrade from jaunty to karmic my boot time was rising from 1 minute to 10
minutes.
Even after I installed ureadahead and linux-image from proposed, boot time is
also 10 minutes.
So from my point of view this bug isn't fixed. Attached is my dmesg.

- fresh karmic installation
- blacklisting the ieee1394 and ohci1394 modules

Just read that Thunderbird 3.1 will be, if the are not problems, released on
April 6. So maybe if Lucid is released, there is allready a new minor version
of Thunderbird available.
But I think, as the Lucid and Thunderbrid 3.1 release dates are so close, there
is no chance to get Thunderbird 3.1
There is currently only a fix for 18.10.
How about 16.04 and 18.04?
