Marking gnome-power-manager task as invalid. I see no incorrect
behaviour from the power manager.
I also see this bug. It appears to be triggered by turning off the
display with DPMS. Once the display has been turned off, X seems unable
to turn it back on. The laptop is still responsive - netw

Xinerama is required. That doesn't change my comment, though: the
nVidia drivers are proprietary, closed source blobs.

This sounds a *lot* like you've passed "SKIP_CHECKS=1" to compiz. This
*is* a limitation of your card - the maximum texture size is 2048x2048,
and compiz represents each window as a texture. Since the desktop
window is bigger than the maximum texture size, you get wierdness.

While this is true, unless you're doing something weird the drivers
_should_ be found under /usr/lib, not /usr/lib64. Is this on some
strange system? Ubuntu policy is that native-arch libraries should be
in /usr/lib, and on an amd64 install native-arch is 64bit.
It's probably safe to change that

We'll need some more information to debug this. Could you please make
sure "Hide window on first launch (quiet mode)" is disabled, then log
out and log in?
