It's not true. I am the Korean iso-codes translator but I have NOT
translated "Japanese" to "日本語". (Should "Thai" be translated in Thai

Iso-codes Japanese translation is for Japanese users. So it should not
be written in Hangul. If you don't agree on this language select
This iso-codes language translation is a set of translated names for
each ISO 639 registered langauge, not for locales. There is only one
registered language code in ISO 639, "ko". And the msgid is "Korean",
not "ko_KR". So it is not possible to distinguish between ko_KR and
ko_KP in iso-codes tran
Anyway this is Japanese translation for Japanese users. IMO if 朝鮮語 is
more familiar to the current Japanese users, 朝鮮語 is the better Japanese
translation. It is not possible nor desirable to change the way what
they have used their language.
Westerners call it as "Korean", "Corean", "Coreen", .. a
But again, this is Japanese translation. What matters? Do you plan to
report the same thing against the Chinese translation? I have no idea
which is more familiar in Japan but I'm sure 朝鮮語 is dominant over 韓囯語 in
China.
In Korean/Chinese, United Kingdoms is 영국(英國)/英国, which was from the
pronunciat

is politically correct or not. And I'm not discussing about the unified
Korean term. The Korean translation is already "한국어" (ko_KR) by me and
other Korean translators.

Don't expect this issue be fixed.
FYI, only the upstream (Naver Corp) can fix it, because "fixing" it by
others without changing the font name is a clear violation of SIL OFL
license. And Naver doesn't care about this font and is focusing on other
"BarunGothic" font.

Actually it's a feature and intentional. All Korean fonts have this
glyph as vertically centered dots. Ellipsis in Korean language is
vertically centered dots.
There is U+22EF MIDLINE HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS, but this is for
mathematical notations.

It's not a "bug" of this font. PUA can be used in any way by any fonts.
This problem is because Un-fonts precedes Font Awesome in your

FYI, Romaja input is not for practical use by design. Your "patch" will
break usual Hangul input. In the 2-bul or 3-bul Hangul IMEs, pressing
space just works as you have seen; it just inputs space after the
precomposed Hangul character. Space is never used for explicit commit
key like what it does
Recent input-source-switch is not what ibus-hangul does. Check Unity or
gnome-shell.

I think iso-codes should have ISO registered items only. Adding codes
for our own use will lead to maintenance difficulties. If extra
languages are needed, it could be handled by the language selection
program.
