That is SIGINT, a Control-C on the keyboard, not a SIGSEGV. Did you stop it
with keyboard? You should have gotten a prompt naturally instead.
If you stopped it because it didn't stop itself, then the problem may be

right-click-"temp profile" to run Chromium in a new empty profile. You
needn't discard your personal information.

Okay, so far it seems to be limited to Precise and amd64 and maybe
nvidia video.
I would like to see what the SEGV is at. Please apt-get update, upgrade,
install "chromium-browser-dbg" package.
Then, in a terminal, "chromium-browser -g".
(gdb) run
Then, at a crash,
(gdb) set logging file backt
The "aw snap" is probably a crash. What do you see in "dmesg"?

extras package. Installing one of the two packages that chromium-
browser Recommends fixes the problem.

In searching the desktop file for suitability, it scans for all lines
that begin "Exec", and takes the result and packs it into a variable.
If there is exactly one Exec line, this takes out a command name to test
for existence, but when more than one matches, the program name
