difference between MBP1,1 and MBP6,2. I can reproduce it when I use the
(default) key to summon Unity (the Super key). I generally use
Ctrl+space to summon Unity, and that is my current workaround; this
allows the remapped Alt to fu

I think Compiz (and Unity) loads before Gnome.
I tested this by setting Ctrl+space to summon Unity and logging in

This is repeatable. The encoding during the install in OEM mode is correct
(tested in the hostname field).
The problem is during 'oem-config --only'. The environment is localized
correctly, text in the UI is displayed correctly, the correct keyboard is being
used, but entering accented, non-ASCI

I made sure I could reproduce the original issue before upgrading. I
again got about 10 out of 200 4-finger drags incorrectly registered as
3-finger events. I updated to the 1.0.20-0ubuntu4~utouch1 from the ppa

Some languages have since been removed from the live CDs, due to lack of
