I was going to report this as "ctrl+key works as if no alternate layout
selected in gnome terminal". I'm switched to Turkish F but when I press
a key with ctrl it behaves as I'm using Q layout.
I'm using Lucid by the way.

to Lucid I just lost it. My pm-suspend.log was like that before upgrade:

I'm using Ubuntu Karmic. I enjoy weather applet. Yesterday it started to
snow-with-rain in Istanbul and my weather applet displayed a fog icon instead
of snow icon. Today it turned to pure snow and my Karmic says it is just fog,
not snow :)

Here is how to reproduce it: I logon normally with Turkish F layout,
