Reviewing this I can only conclude that there is not an issue with
Deluge but with start-stop-daemon failing to start because the location
that you are using to store the config and log files is not available.
It suggests that the mount point is not available at the point that
deluge init script is

to store any errors.

A workaround is to disable 'focus add dialog' in preferences, which will
prevent the application switching workspaces.

I just encountered this error while testing Oneiric and Apport
redirected me to this bug.
I had Software Centre open but it was minimized and the crash seemed to
coincide with updating packages in Synaptic.

The full desktop corruption has been resolved however the corruption of
the launcher bar is still occurring which I think returns this bug to

We changed the packaging for Deluge recently so that deluge-gtk no
longer requires libtorrent which means it can be installed as a client
only.

For reference, I got around to adding the indicator 'title' patch to
Deluge codebase and based upon this report I also included a catch to
ensure it will not crash with previous appindicator versions (pre Ubuntu
12.04 i think) or with missing dependencies.

I tried including the Debian init script in the PPA but the package
install scripts had issues so I removed it.
As upstart scripts are now standard for Ubuntu it would be better to
include those.

I have set the wifi "options iwlegacy led_mode=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/wlan.conf
to stop the led blinking, which works as expected. The problem I have found is
that if I suspend the laptop then upon resuming the wifi led is permanently off
yet
the wifi still works properly.
