middle one being the main monitor. There have been other programs which
can't cope with that, perhaps it has something to do with this problem
as well?
It would be quite nice to have it confirmed for trusty. It only shows as

Is it possible to back port that fix to Natty? Many people are reporting
this problem (it manifests as bullets being shown as infinity symbols in
Evince, for instance), without realising the underlying problem, so it

My bug #921689 was just automatically marked as a duplicate of this one
by the "apport retracing service". I just wanted to check whether that
is actually correct, as my crash has a different stack trace:

I think that's a bit premature. Even if the problem is specific to
NVidia cards, that doesn't mean the problem isn't with network-manage-
applet! All other software on my system has no problem painting itself
correctly, including all the other panel icons.

directory in my home directory. Banshee then started up correctly! Even
after I subsequently deleted the Podcasts directory again, Banshee
continued to start up successfully.
It did not migrate my Rhythmbox music library though.

on my machine. I'm running Ubuntu Lucid 64-bit, and I have the

As I predicted, the bug is still there, and is causing incredible
confusion due to its randomness.
To everyone posting "fixes": they aren't really fixes. What's happening
is that Facebook is randomly denying requests from Gwibber, because it
is generating too many of them (according to Facebook).

Yup, Twitter is working again with version 2.30.2, so the bug appears to
have been fixed in that version. Although of course it could just be
coincidence, because so many of these bugs are triggered by specific
tweets and the offending tweet may have fallen of my feed in the mean
time...

Users shouldn't be bothered with technical details. It should just work.
If they configure Firefox as their default browser, it should become
their default browser. It should not become the default browser only for
