I have this exact same error. Trying to get the VNC console window on
any Linux SSH pipe sessions fails with the error message listed. I also
downloaded the latest virt-manager 0.7.0 and have the same error.
Would be nice to see this fixed because it's quite handy!

I am also having this problem with Ubuntu Jaunty after upgrade from
Intrepid. If I receive a notification or launch an application, the
widget layer disappears, which is very annoying. For me, this is very
important, as my workflow depends on being able to use the widget layer.

ISO on 4/28, booted to the live environment, fired up my eth card,

Indeed the fix from #4 seems to solve the problem for me. I can confirm
that the update from #9 is likely right, this is certainly a race
condition, sometimes it will boot without problem and other times it
gets stuck.
