I am too having the same problem. When the playback stops in middle of
playing a file, it sounds "g" until I click or hit anything
(the desktop, audio controller, virtually anything on the screen!) some
times.

Desktop icons goes under the Dock, if the Dock is set to auto-hide.
Either the Dock should auto-hide on the Desktop as well, or the Desktop
Icons should leave a margin with the same size of the Dock.
This happen both horizontal and vertical Dock
