I can confirm that removing the -xshm option from /usr/bin/scratch
resolves the problem. The switch -xshm seems to work fine in 3D mode

I managed to get the laptop today and have installed the 3.6.0, 3.6.3
and 3.7.0-rc2 mainline kernels with the following results:

- Hardware Wireless light is on
- No wireless option under network manager
- No wlan0 adapter in ifconfig

3.7.0-rc2
- Same as above
Howev
This happened when I opened the Online Accounts application and edited
the details for Google. When first adding the google account it created
a Jabber account as well for Google, but I was always shown as offline.
I removed the account and it now works fine.

When booting up the default value of
/sys/class/backlight/acpi_vidoe0/brightness is 0. I have updated my
/etc/rc.local and have added the following line before exit 0:
echo 5 > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness.

Hi,
I have upgraded the distro to 12.04. Unfortunately the error persists. I
can see that it gives a not found message and I couldn't find that
package with apt-get. I'm assuming that nl80211 is a kernel module then?
I have also noticed that the brightness does not work with the Fn key.

toggle wireless on and off using Fn, ubuntu does not recognise the
