I just built 2.6.28-rc7-git2 from kernel.org and I have the same
problems with bluetooth so this is obviously not something that has been
addressed upstream.
Is it worth reporting this upstream?

I have tried your suggestion and installed blueman (and bluez 3) however
this did not fix anything for me. If anything it made things worse...
Using blueman I could see my phone but not pair with it. My phone no
longer saw the computer at all.

My bluetooth also malfunctions. I managed to get it to pair with my
phone once after emptying /var/lib/bluetooth/ however it wont do it
again.
I'm not so sure mine is a kernel/driver problem as the phone does see

I just booted the Jaunty Alpha 4 live cd and it looks like this issue is
fixed.
I can successfully use ubuntu to associate with my phone, setup a pass
code and then browse and receive files from my phone. None of that
worked with intrepid.

Pulseaudio also crashes for me when I plug in my USB soundcard.
Interestingly if audio is playing at the time you plug it in then there
is no problem and the audio output on my usb soundcard quickly starts.
Otherwise pulseaudio crashes but I haven't managed to get a debug output
yet.

I have tried the proposed workaround (adding MODULES="sdhci_pci sdhci
ricoh_mmc") on my dell but the problem still exists. In actual fact the
module richoh_mmc is not even loaded on my system. I have attached my
/proc/modules.
I see the module mmc_block is loaded which I believe is related to this

minutes or hours between crashes (but I regularly get 5 or 6 a day). In
the 10 minutes I spent with the live cd it didnt happen but that's not

I did indeed use 8.10 and I don't recall any such issues being present
then. For that matter I don't think I experienced this in 9.04 or any
other release... I'll have to hunt down the 9.04 live-cd and perform
some tests - It may be that I just never tried with an SD card in the

I have this same exact issue on my Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. When there
is an SD card in the card reader slot then suspend fails and the kernel
locks up (not even Alt + PrntScrn + b works). Suspend works flawlessly
when there is no card present.
I'm not sure what debug info I can obtain so please
I have followed the wiki page advice for debugging kernel suspend
(linked above) and obtained a copy of dmesg but I don't think it shows
anything interesting. It is attached anyway.
