I don't have any audio output when running banshee or through browsers (or any
other application I've tried).
While running "ubuntu-bug audio", I was able to hear the first set of tones but
not the second.

This appears to be fixed after changing the profile via pacmd. It was stuck in
a profile with hdmi output even though I had disconnected my HDMI cable.
To remedy this, inside pacmd I ran "set-card-profile 0 output:analog-stereo"
