I did more tests and I found that the bug doesn't occur if I set the memory mode in BIOS to: DDR2-667 instead of -800 It looks like the memory is bad but that's probably not true for the following reasons: -both the memory and the motherboard are spec'ed for DDR2-800 -the same memory
