I am running Intrepid and getting this bug for a 61 page RTF document
printing from Abiword. It prints fine from my Hardy laptop with the
same printer/driver/document. The pstopdf errror shows up in the
trouble-shooting GUI. Is this a regression?

After enabling Compiz in 8.10, the Workspace Switcher app puts all the
workspaces in the top row. Workaround: remove Switcher from panel, add
it back and it's fixed!
This is a long, lingering bug though.

The all_generic_ide line seems to work for me on Inspiron 530. It's
kind of sad that someone who bought a Linux box from Dell will have this
issue, then have to edit the grub menu to get their computer back.

I have the same intermittent boot error on Hardy live CD and now that
it's installed. This is a Dell Inspiron 530, bought with Ubuntu pre-
installed :) This was not a problem on Gutsy. Oh well, I'll add the

Sitsofe rocks! I've finally got compiz _and_ suspend on my Dell D820

perfect. What is sync to vblank anyway?

The OpenOffice bug report also says that this should not be a problem
with OOo 2.0. Yet, here we are at 2.3 in Gutsy and still the problem
with duplex printing and copies remains.

I figured out a work around. Mine was being cause by my conky system
monitor, which calls rhythmbox-client:
exec /usr/bin/rhythmbox-client –no-start –no-present --print-playing
“%ta – %tt”
This just started with this behavior. I removed this line from .conkyrc
and the bug no longer presents.
